Cool The kids DID love the visit!

Well, I'm glad to hear you all are enjoying our "visit" to this outfit! In this segment, we'll wind up the HO side of things at the OCSMRR.

I love that station I shot earlier, here's a cool pic with a passenger train.

Here's the second Mickey-D's on the layout, a model of an Original!! Anyone remember these??

A closeup of the junkyard with all the derelict vehicles piled up

Then they had a TV going with an Engineer's view of the layout going, courtesy of this little car...

An Automobile Boxcar with...an automobile!

The local Station and Parking Lot.

This falls under "Unusual Loads"

And we'll finish off the HO side with this pic of a Coal Company. Note the grades of coal listed on each silo! In our next segment, I'll show you some modular layouts that make the show circuit, and some of the way cool toys on the big train side! Till next time!

Post O, .027, three rail stuff

Hey there, I'm glad you're enjoying the layout visit! It makes it more fun to share when I take these trips, and this one is easy, since it's only ten minutes away from my home!

So here we are, taking a look around the other half of the Ocean County Society of Model RR'ers, on their three rail layout and later on a few modules. We start out at one end which has a lot of activity, from helicopters, to Christmas, to burning buildings, and lots of emergency vehicle activity. There are also a few TV stars roaming around, see if you can locate them as we travel through this oversized kids park

I tawt I saw a puddy tat!! I did! I did see a puddy tat!

A burning house, complete with the local newspaper in attendance. Maybe he's waiting to see if that firetruck RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOUSE is going to be next!

Like I said earlier, Train Shows make for strange bedfellows, and here's another example of that. Every kid pointed this one out!

Hmm, even the USCG makes an appearance..

A very sweet little K-4 sits as a Virginian Trainmaster screams by (that's the blur in the back)

A CNJ Alco has a full train of "radioactive" somethings or others in tow...

Here's looking down one leg of the layout, there's lots of trains running through here

Here's what I consider to be a highlight of the layout, a functioning TT

Here's another shot with a tank train in view

Down at Krazy Ken's they're making Toyota-Thon look like a joke!

Interesting view of a stick-boom crane holding the REA sign aloft

I told you these guys love their Mickey-D's, and it looks like Sponge Bob, Speed Racer, and Scooby and the Gang do too, along with quite the eclectic collection of anything with four wheels!

And to help bring you down from all of the excitement in the last pic, I bring you this bucolic scene from the country, and our last one in this segment

We'll be taking a look at a few other fun things in our next installment. Till next time!

Smile Here's our last installment

Okay, here's the last of the Pics from the OCSMRR Open House. Here's where we will get to see the rest of what the Club has for their shows when they go on the road.

Here are some vehicle scenes, hope that load of Lionel Trains makes it before Christmas!!

I wanna see what happens when someone does this and the Jersey Troopers are around!

Trains a' Runnin'

Here's a closeup of the Tank Train. Note the hose hookups like the real ones

The HQ in O Gauge for the Central Jersey Bridge Line

And here's some subway shots

And we go on to the modules

The kids love the big trains

Then we go on to the G Scale stuff!

And here's our last shot with THOMAS!! How cool is that??

So there you have it, a Club that makes things work with lots of opportunity to run three different gauges. Hope you enjoyed the visit, and picked up a few ideas along the way!
