talldude can you tell me anything about this simulator I'm looking for one an this one seems to have what I'm looking for. I guess what I'm asking is it good for beginners. I've never run a simulator I bought one that you had to build the track and the towns I think it was called train tycoon I didn't like it so I took it back.

I think you will like the mircosoft trains. You dont have to build anything it gives you a run and you have to make it. watch for lights and switches never know when you will miss a signel to side track and like me i will be running 60 MPH and the train will take a side track and derail. Time to start over then. It is a lot of fun you get to set in the drivers set and control the train just like if you was on it.

Is this the one they sell in Walthers with the Control console that look like a locomotive cab? I'm going to be home for a month starting next tuesday, I can't put up the new bench work so other then building kits whihc I have no room for right now I'm looking for something to pass the time. This might be it.
