Gee, how didja know I looked at this thread over and over??????

Actually, very cool, simple idea that would work for just about everyone, including me. It creates a very nice effect. I like it! Michigan has a few water falls, but none of that scale and magnitude! 'Course, that method would work even on small falls or a series of small falls! Hmmm...drainage ditches and culverts, too, I'm thinking!

Oh, yeah... You "Da Man," Nazgul!

Kevin...Thanks for the bump up!
BB...Thanks for the thumbs up!

I would just like to encourage anyone who wants a waterfall, to experiment with various inexpensive chaulks and other similar products (don't feel that you have to use exactly what I did).

Below is a pic of the first waterfalls I did. I used the same techniques but different materials. On the large upper falls, I used Woodland Scenics "water effects" instead of the "clear seal". On the bottom twin falls I used plain old white chaulking. Both falls then got the cotton "spray" on the surface. To be honest, I just wasn't impressed with the WS product (especially at the price). You might as well just use the much cheaper clear chaulk materials available out there.

On short falls I've read about people using fishing line or scotch-tape with thinned white glue or artists gloss medium drizzled or brushed over it....I haven't tried that............yet

Betcha I could screw it up!

Great post you make it look easy I'll have to give it a try even though I don't plan on a waterfall but I guess you could apply this tecnique to a raging river with rapids etc.

Steve, you rock! Thanks so much for this tutorial, I am going to do a waterfall and I was going to use that product you mentioned but I am going to use the liquid nails technique, very sweet indeed.

Thanks again for sharing,
