For those of you that don't know what talus rock is, it is the rocks that come off a rock face, or river bank, or road side just about anywhere a pile of rocks can collect or get pushed!
here you can see some in my bad picture!
Now for those of you that live in the city this might not help you but for our country folk here is a tip!! You can buy talus rock from Woodland Scenics or any scenery dealer for about $6 for a couple ounces. But if you can get to a feed store or feed mill or know someone who can buy yourself a bag of #2 chicken grit, chicken grit helps the birds digest there food and it's usualy made up of crushed red granite. you should be able to pick up a 50 pound bag for about $4 and it should be enough to last a life time. Now for those of you who just can't run down to the feed mill drop me a line and we will see what we can do! Hope this suggestion helps!
