Ok, I got an suggestion for a section just for great deals on purchases, and it would have the option of self cleaning, as when you post it, it would have a length of time option, and it would maybe self-destruct at the end of the time, don't know if thats possible or not.
I had been posting walthers sale items in the caboose, but if we had a section where we could all post just those items, it could be very useful to go looking in a pinch for an item someone else may have found on sale somewheres, kinda like the one you found for the foam cutter and the glasses. Maybe put it in the general forums section.

Lightbulb Here he comes again...with TWO ideas...

TD, In a recent post where you provided an outlet on train stuff, I mentioned maybe making a page/thread/ etc. regarding websites that we have visited, and maybe dealt with, along with a commentary box. It could be any kind of site from mfr's to retail/ wholesale/ members/ forums whatever. It would make it easier to get qualified information for members here who are looking for info, and it would benefit the site when suppliers see what we're doing. We all know Suppliers LOVE to be seen in a good light..!

MOW Sticky...How about it??

I gotta think about this one for a bit. I could add comment ability to findtrains.com which already lists a bunch of manufacturers and retail stores. What I don't want to do is add another forum (like Train Stories) that everyone wanted, but hardly anybody posts in. That forum still has only 3 threads in it.

If the MOW thread was a MOW Of The Week thread and saw regular activity over several weeks, then I'd say sure. The Freight Car and Loco of the Week threads both see weekly activity, so they can be sticky. It wouldn't be good to have a bunch of sticky threads at the top of the forum that don't change much. If you keep posting to the MOW thread, it will stay near the top anyway.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Hi Kevin,
They're are many modelers that are into the super detailing of their locomotives, and hopefully I will as well. How would a Locomotive Detailing forum sound? It would be none scale specific unless you added child or sub-boards to be specific. Sorry if it's not very clear.
