Ok guys the train show is comming.

Any of you all that live close to Manchester GA we are having the 10Th annual train show Oct 20 2007. Saturday's Railroadiana Show (begins at 9:00am to the Manchester Mill) promises to be bigger and better than ever. It will be held as it was last year in the exhibition hall of the Manchester Mill.

Outside the mill, will be rides on live steam engines by the North Georgia Live Steamers. These are hand made engines to scale which can pull miniature cars with riders behind them.

Inside the Mill , Over 80 exhibitor tables have been reserved The Columbus Model club will have their HO scale layout and the Atlantic Coast S gauges and the Coosa Valley Model Club will also have their layouts for the train enthusiast to enjoy. The historical societies for the ACL/SAL, The Central of Georgia, and others will have displays. Many vendors and exhibitors will have lots of interesting railroad memorabilia.

Manchester Railroad Museum collection of artifacts has grown to over 200 items and those will be on display at the show, many for the first time. Many of the objects are one-of-a-kind items.

Tasty Treats will be served during the day. Tha Deli, the local restaurant located adjacent to the exhibition hall will be open and providing great food.

In addition to the displays at the Manchester Mill, railfans will find a lot of excitement at the Manchester Observation Deck. A map has been installed showing the routes running through Manchester. The dispatch scanner allows railfans to hear the action down the line. New track work in the Manchester yard by CSX creates even more excitement.

Well the show hite town today at about 9:00AM this morning.
It was not as big as last years show but it was ok.
Most of the stuff the ppl was selling was way over priced and some of it was junk but for the most part there was a lot of new stuff there to. Just had to look real hard to fine them deals we are all looking for.
first thing i got was 4 RF-P box cars for my N scale layout. then i found a deal on a tank hopper. all the N scale stuff was 3.00 each. and it was all used items.
Then me and eric found a guy selling off some brand new in the box Athearn stuff. he had 50% off on all his Athearn loco and cars.
Well i had to take him up on a loco and i got a 5 car set of Well cars. are container cars. thay are still kits so i have some work to do.
when the day was over i got home with some nice stuff had made some trades with eric and Andy on some stuff we all had. so i had all the stuff i got from eric and what i had got from there so i had two bags of stuff i was carring around with me. Only got a pic are two as i was looking more at the other stuff walking around in there then the trains.<<<<<<O i should not say that. >>>>>>> Anyways we had a good time now i got two AC4400 i am going to repaint and do in my CSX road and I am going to leave the conrail unit i got like it is. O and eric the guy with all the high prices stuff he was crazy i ask him about the box cars out in front of his booth thay where 10.00 each he said get all of them you like. HEHE i dont think so. Well better luck next time i hope. until next year SEEYA

I scored 2 Mckean centerbeam kits for $10 each, 1 Roundhouse Terminal Railway Alabama State Docks 50' box car for $8, and a Athearn Golden West Service ACF centerflow for $5, all of them new kits.
Was fun seeing everything up there. Quite a few sights and the trains were cool too.
The one guy was selling old AHM and TYCO cars for $10-15 each, and had quite a bit of Athearn blue box units, some complete, some in dissarray, wanting almost full new retail for them.
Glad I was able to get up there and get your items to you. And you have the travelling car for the first leg of its journey. Dont forget to post some pics of it with a lashup of your locos, so we can see it moving across the members rr's.
