Well folks, we made it to the sale OK, the weather was excellent and they had a good crowd. I have been to this sale for the last 8 years and it is one of my favorites, mainly because it is outside under a big pavilionI met the owner of rib side cars there and he seemed like a really nice guy. All his cars are prototype Milw. rib cars, so I had to buy his newest one to add to my collection. Even if you don't strickly model Milw. Rd. his cars are nice. You can find him at www.ribsidecars.com , check them out!!
I did come away with a few good deals but I found most of the dealers were not haveing any real big sales, most of the stuff I saw you could get at your local store for the same price or on the internet cheaper. I bought the one rib side car, an Accurail special run CP car, an out of production Walthers Milw airslide hopper, and a Bev-Bel extended vision Caboose. Also a 10 pack of kadee #5 couplers. I would say it was well worth the 1 hour drive!!
