S newbie question

Hi,

I'm new to S. Thinking of changing over from O due to space constraints.

My tastes tend toward steam and scale accuracy.

I have catalog coming from S Helper Service. Who are the other manufacturers serving the scale market?

Is there a predominant operating system for modern S scale? DCC or other?

Thanks for the assistance.

Paul

I've never personally engaged in S scale. But.. you are in luck. The Cuyahoga Valley S Gaugers (local club) are very active, and usually have a display or portable layout at every local train show. I can't say for sure, but next weekend, they will probably be at the Medina Train Show. They also set up at every local TCA show (5/yr) at the UAW hall on Chevrolet Blvd. Contact Tim Krogg at local exchange ( )662-6928

Thanks Ken.

I think that I talked with some of those guys at Beria a few months back but missed seeing them at York and didn't make it to the Medina show. Next time I run into them, I'll have plenty of questions.

Paul,
Find yourself a recent copy of Railroad Model Craftsman, on the inside of the cover there is a whole page of S scale models and distributors.
