Hi Folks,
Did a little vacation at the end of July.
Spent a week in Elkhart Indiana. (Yea they let me south again)
If you want to try to fall asleep to trains go to Elkhart!
Was lucky enough to check out the New York Central Museum.
Got some photos I'd like to share.
This is an E8 that is currently being restored.
Will get more photos up.
Neal

Hey TH&Bfan don't you just love those old Diesel's. Can't wait to see more.
Hey TN I think the E unit was first because it comes after the D then after the E then comes the F.

Thanks for the support guys, will try to get more up tonight.
Hey TN I don't know what came first the E or F
This unit was built in 1953 and was the lead loco the last time the 20th Century Limited ran from Chicago to New York on Dec. 3, 1967.
That's all the info the museum has.

Hey TN that was just some of my ignorant humor. It was also 2am last night when I posted that. Really I don't know what came first,I'm still working on the chicken or the egg thing.

Hey!! Let's see some more of this museum! I'm enjoying the trip so far! Is this the only rolling stock they have??
Those E-Units are just HUGE monsters, it's great to see a few still around.

OK Folks,
More E8 - And I do think it was built before an AC4400CW.
This is an Unfinished side looking toward the rear.
Perhaps someone can tell me what I'm looking at.
This is the same side of the loco looking forward.
This stuff was massive!
This was the finished side of the loco facing back.
Was pretty cool to walk around in there!
This is finished facing forward.
I guess next it's cab shots. As long as I don't get company again tonight I'll get them up.
Enjoy my friends.
