Cool Building Metcalfe card stock factory backdrop building.

I came back from the Monroe, Michigan Train Show with a few goodies... BTW I only paid $20.00 for the Tech II, and despite the look of the box it is brand new.

This is the factory...card stock for a background building.

Gluing in the miniscule floors in the tower...

Gluing in the windows...had to use superglue, the card stock absorbed the regular plastic cement before the plastic window could adhere to it.

3/4 view of the warehouse building with the windows in...

That's all for now, have to start preparing dinner.

Thanks for sharing your finds...and your construction. I have not seen a paper model like that before. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Gluing in the floors which actually act as stiffeners for the structure

I found it easier to put the glue on the edge of the floor card stock

The warehouse structure complete just needs a little A&I to dull it down.

On to the Mill structure next.

Weathering applied, A&I gray/brown, Floquil rust, and Doc Brown's Rusty Brown, applied in that order.

Factory structure complete for now...

Thanks! Now it's on to the rest of it, the Mill Building and the connecting building and bridge.

It actually surprised me how it came out, the only thing I don't like is the outside corners, I think they should have supplied quoines to hide the raw card stock...

Assembling the Mill, Interbuilding and Bridge between top floors

Getting ready to install the windows

Assembling the bridge, glue the edges of the floor and fold the building around it, it also helps to glue a tab on the flaps to stop them from overlapping.

Fitting the door, trim off the top so that it fits between floors set the bottom of the door on floor/ceiling

Waiting for glue to dry...
