Southern Pacific AM-2 4-6-6-2 Cab Forward: In StockBorn as MM-2 in the early 1900s,12 of these articulated Mallets were upgraded with superheaters and Worthington feed water heaters and a4 wheel pilot truck in1936. These4-6-6-2s were reclassified as AM-2s, they were then converted from compound to simple mallets, by replacing the rear cylinders with smaller ones, and packing the forward cylinders to have the same internal chamber size. Sunset Models is proud to announce a very collectible (Less than 10 of each cab number remain) and super detailed version of the SP AM-2. If you are into SP, you can't miss this! Available in pre Southern Pacific Lines and Post War "Southern Pacific" lettering! 3 Rail models come with EOB Cruise, TAS Turbo III Smoke with 2 or 4 chuffs per rev, selectable. Jones & Laughlin 20,000 Gallon Tank Car: 3R Sold Out

Jones and Laughlin used these tank cars to haul coal tar. They are very unique cars that would look good as part of any consist. Available in J&L Silver or KOPPERS CHEMICAL black with white lettering. These cars are available now for instant purchasing. Click HERE for pictures and details.

PRR O1 Light Passenger Electric:
PRR O1 Light Passenger Electric PRR used these 2000 hp 2-B-2 locomotives ran in pairs primarily for light passenger trains. During WWII they pulled the Susquehannock and Lehigh Valley Trains. In their later years they could be seen at the Sunnyside Yards. Both units powered in 2R. In 3R one unit with TMCC and Railsounds, unit B is also a powered unit slaved to unit A. Mercury Train Finishing Set (3 Cars):
The remaining 3 Mercury cars are on their way. #1004 Diner, Toledo and Cleveland Lounge cars have been inspected and are on their way to our facility for distribution. The Burlington's M-4s were built in 1927-35 by Baldwin Locomotive Works. They were so successful that the B&LE ordered 47 of them. Some were sold to the DM&IR. Sunset Models is making all 3 locomotives all uniquely detailed as the prototypes. They tipped the scales at 504,570 pounds locomotive weight, and at 83,300 pounds of tractive effort they were without doubt the Burlington's heaviest and heftiest steam engines. 2 versions, Elesco or Worthington Feedwater Heaters.   • N&W K-2: This project is next in line behind the Q4b. Don't worry, it will happen.
  • B&O Q4b: Drawings have been corrected and accepted. Pilot sample is under construction.
  • SP M-6 / M-9: Corrected Pilot Samples arriving shortly. We won't release a model prematurely. It must be done right.
  • We are always trying to find the projects that you are interested in. If you have a suggestion, don't hesitate to contact us with your ideas. Sometimes that is all that it takes to get a project off the ground.



HO SCALE:

Golden Gate Depot:
Heavyweight Coaches:We are expecting delivery of our second run of heavyweight coaches in late May. We still have some 3R C&O and 3R B&O available. Also, several other dealers are taking stock of the following Roads:RUN #2 (May 2008)

Head End Set Cars:
The production of Head End Set cars is progressing. The factory is making every effort to make these spectacular cars for you but it is taking a little longer than expected. We expect delivery of these in late June now. Notices have been mailed to all those that reserved them. If you want to get in on ordering these too, there are a limited number of them in various roads, 2R or 3R. Converting them is not too difficult. Click HERE to see the remaining list and reserve.

Extra P70 and 12-1 Sleepers Coming Too:
We have ordered more PRR P70 cars with new numbers. These new cars are available in pairs. It is too expensive to sell them 1 by 1 sorry. PRSL was ordered by Just Trains of Delaware. New Diesel Maintenance Facility:
Never before available in O Scale, a modern Diesel Maintenance Facility. With opening doors and working interior and exterior lighting, this facility will service any of your Atlas, MTH, Lionel, Williams diesels. Price has yet to be determined, and upgrade kits are being discussed with TAS for automation of the doors and lights. Concepts for 2 stall configurations are being discussed. Your comments and suggests are welcome. Most of all, reserve one and we will update you on any changes to the design. Reserve HERE.
