Thumbs down I don't know, it's kind of bland...

Daryl, maybe we'd think it was more realistic if you painted that one something like what Absnut hasmaybe use RED!

I'd bet the other half would REALLY love that idea!!

Better late than never...

Well it seems like the houses in my town look just like everybody elses, 'cept with different scenery...
First up is the Dawson's ranch house over on the Snicker farm. Every once in a while, you'll see Ma Dawson out there feeding her burned bread loaves to her favorite horse..

Then we've got two shots of the Ol' McHenry place lookin' over the station. They're a strange 'ol couple livin' in that big house all by themselves. That reminds me, I don't ever remember their dinner guests leaving the other night. AND, I caught a glimpse of Hubert with a flashlight and a shovel in the backyard later that night. Gonna have to keep an eye on them... might be some foul play goin' on.

Then, there's the Polowski's place. I don't know how they make ends meet with as many kids as they've got to feed. Last week, little Billy got in big trouble for taking shots at the cars crossing the overpass with his new Daisy BB gun. He was concentratin' with such intensity through the scope, he didn't realize he'd pocked ol' sheriff Joe's side cruiser window. Whoops. Bet'cha he won't be sittin' down for darn near a whole week.

Last up is just a wider angle shot showin' how the Polowki's and the McHenry's have to stay on good neighborly terms with each other seein' as how they share the same driveway and all. Hmmm, looks like the 3:04 to Arapajo's right on time.

What really suprizes me is that how many have the same houses on your layouts. Even in two different scales.

As I remember. those Bachmann Sears houses were quite popular, if short-lived on the market. I've got two of them. They not only look good but were fun to build. The Atlas houses in both scales seem to be quite popular. On the other hand, there don't seem to be many private domiciles available these days, especially in N, although there are a few available in wood kits.

Not a great photo but, this one was available some time ago, I think from Model Power.
