Question Connecting multiple ITADs

I have a layout that includes both Lionel and Atlas track. I also have accessories from a variety of companies. I have 2 RailKing O-Scale crossing gates that are activated using an ITAD device (that uses accessory power - not power from the track). I would like to attach multiple ITAD devices to the crossing gates so that they can be activated regardless of the direction in which a train travels. Right now, they are only activated if the train goes one way. Any ideas about how to connect the multiple ITADs to the crossing gates. I simply replicated the instructions for connecting the crossing gates to a single ITAD for the second ITAD and it blew out my transformer. Ugh! Any thoughts or suggestions?
