7mm Dean Goods built from the Martin Finney kit

the build will be done in & around my other builds so this will be a slow build

Today i have made a start on a Martin Finney 7mm kit for a Dean Goods Engine

i am starting with the tender as i have not but a Finney kit before
the kit is ment to build up with the wheels locked in but i will be making it so i can remove the wheels for painting
I have got on well with the Tender chassie today heres the pics

I must admit that I collect rail cars......5 and 7 plank coal wagons. There is group of us (United States, England, Ireland and Spain) that are involved in the effort of obtaining the wagons and understanding their history. I think the fellow at West Wells Wagon Works is rebuilding a 7 plank coal car that had been in service in the early years.
