removing Bachmann rapdio couplers HELP!

I have some bachmann trains and am converting to Knuckle style and have done so with a few cars of mine ny just removing the trucks but I have some rolling stock that can't do that and also my locos have rapidos as well. My question is how do you remove the original rapido? The bachmann knuckles I got give instructions on installing the new one. Could I have step by stemp instructions on how to do it? (pictures included would be nice)

Cool

My guess would be that it depends on the style of coupler mounting that are used on the trucks. If your trucks have the metal or plastic U shaped clip that has to be removed first. You can see what you need to do if you study the clip for a minute or two.

For the other style of truck you can just push the rapido straight back towards the center of the truck and twist to remove. In both cases keep your eyes on the centering springs as the all like to launch themselves into an orbit that guarentees you will lose them in plain site.

Hope this will get you started,if you need more help just ask and we will see what we can do.
