Don't know who makes/made them but they are pretty nice (with a little paint work) models of a fairly modern engine.I want some more if I can find them.
(PS) the truck on the lower right had its frame drop and I only noticed it after I posted the pic

I built this using the middle truck in the post above.I need to strech the trailer and hopefully find a better looking ladder (or spend some serious time on this ladder)
Nuther one,This is going to be my HazMat truck when done. The rear compartment is scratchbuilt.

Catt, it's scary when great minds like ours think so much alike! LOL Last week I decided I needed to have a credible fire department for my "town" but, what's available out there in N scale is not impressive, especially for "period" equipment (Where did you get those?) So I decided bashing was the way to go and below are the results of several days labor. The hook & ladder tractor started life as a British flat bed, stipped down to the frame and hood and built up with styrene and bits and pieces from the junk box. The tiller was scratchbuilt from styrene, again using stuff from the junk box. The pumper was once a semi tractor, lengthened frame with body built up from styrene. They will replace that very small and almost out of scale pumper behind the fire house and the, obviously, British Dennis fire appliance which kinda looks out of place. Obviously, I had to put an addition on the LifeLike fire house to accomodate the new "ladder"!
A while ago, I wanted a fire engine for my layout but at that time nobody made one in a finished state. Therefore, I bought a little kit and it managed to hide in the closet for several years (unfinished). Just recently, I gave it to a friend as I don't have the patience for these little kits and several manufacturers are now making fire equipment in N scale anyways. He completed it and gave it back to me a couple of days later. Top notch job!
Nice trucks guys.I'm on the lookout for another truck like mine to do some serious ladder/trailer bashing to get one that is abit more prototypical looking.
Among other changes will be lengthening the trailer and ladder and enclosing the rear tiller (this IS a modern truck ).That ladder is gonna be a challenge
