LoCo Trouble

Hey guys.....I got trouble with one of my N scale lifelike loco. OK when i let it set here on the layout for lets say a week are maybe two. when i first start running it again it wont's to jump and cut off. Now after i let it do this for some time it starts to run like it should. What is making it do this.
