In three posts three of my kitbash/scratchbuilt buildings.The first is Cassar Electronics named after my Australian friend Paul Cassar.Except for the windows it is all scratchbuilt.

This one started out as the DPM kit Woods Furniture,but once I had it built I didn't like it.So I modernized it with metal siding and also enlarged it.This one is Curtis Models named after an English friend Alan Curtis.Yup the model maker.







There is much to do yet but I think I've gotton a pretty good start.

This one is based on Geo. Roberts Printing but in this case it is a furniture factory named after my modeling buddy and fellow N scale nut Bill (Howdy) Fowler.







I have one rule for structures on my layouts "Box stock don't happen here."Nothing goes on my layout that isn't personalized to my tastes.

Anybody got any comments or suggestions please feel free to post them.

Nice looking and nice size building. I love large industrial building. It looks like that car barely fits in there.

Lee,one of the reasons for posting these pics is that someone will post some of their kitbashed or scratchbuilt strutures in this thread and I will get some ideas for other buildings. Other reason is maybe I can give someone else some ideas.

I have several more to post but the layout is suffereing from gross negligence on my part and needs a major clean up before any more buildings are posted.

I have one rule for the structures on my layouts when they are kitbuilt and that is none of them are simply built and dropped on the layout.You may recognize that you have seen that kit on other layouts but it didn't look like the one your looking at on my layout.

The next building going on the layout is Hardwood furniture and it will be built to kit specs but thats where it ends .It will have updated windows and doors and possibly an enclosed loading dock for freight cars.

Here's a couple more Ndustries these are both total scratchbuilts.First up is Andrew's Builder's Supply which is pretty much a building flat with just enough depth to make that recessed loading dock beleivable.







Next up is Shipper's Warehouse a storage facility co-owned by several local trucking companies with no direct rail connection.







I nhave a few more to show but I don't want to bore anyone so will wait awhile before posting them.

I need to build a shippers warehouse one of these days. I like it! Gives me a reason to buy tons of trucks too.

Maybe the next time you do a building you could post the building of it in the craftsmans bench section. That way you could give a few pointers as you go.
That big blue building, is that the one you used the foam core board on? I think I remember you doing a post on building that back on the old RR Depot forums.

That is some nice looking work there catt. Maybe one day i will get to where i can build like you guys on here. But for now i will stick with kits.
