Ok i have the track layed and the trussles in place. Should i start putting down the Ballast on the track now. I was thinking i should do this now so it dont get all in the grass and i cant get it out.I ran in to this with the HO Scale layout and it was a mess to get it out of the grass. Ok you guys tell me.

Have you tested the track and made sure everything is in prime working order? If it is it really doesn't matter which you do first. It is all your own personel preference.Myself I prefer to do at least the basic scenery first.

Yes i have tested the track and all is good to go on that. I know the last time i put the ballast on the track after the grass and stuff was on the layout i made a mess with it. Thanks for the reply. I am going to get started on it tomorrow night.
