Cool

They not only have flywheels (the GP38-2 anyway) the mechanism is an Athearn clone (again the GP38-2)

I got mine off ebay the two ac4400 i payed 38.00 dollars and the sd40-2 i payed$26.00 that not counting shipping. There great little engines they have better detail then athaerns bluebox and if you don't like the way they program you can unpluge the decoder and add the kind you like. A lot of guys change the decoder and put in a digitrax or NCE. The two ac4400 i have on a coal train they pull 18loaded cars on my layout and there is two 2.5 grades on it [oh the cars way a little over 4oz each ].

Are you sure those are ac4400's and not dash 8-40's? I don't recall Bachmann ever releasing ac4400's. What road and numbers are they? Cause if they are ac4400's, I'm gonna be looking real hard for some.
As for the bachmann dcc'd locos, theyre alright in my opinion. You gonna get you some conrail gp40's?

I dont know i would like to have some of there F units in the SCL road. but i cant find them with DCC all i have found was the DC units. Then one of the guys at the club said the cheap Bachmann did not have flywheels on them but he had added them to his and it made them run a lot better. So i thought maybe the DCC units mite have flywheels if so i am going with them. just looking for something to spend money on you know me. And the DCC bachmann's is something i dont have any of.

Well guys the info i am getting from Bachmann is that none of there standard loco units have flywheels. only the Spectrum units have them. This is Ho scale.
and i checked on there website and none of the brake downs they have for there standard units show any flywheels. but all the Spectrum units have flywheeels.
Here is a link to there Standard gp38-2 with DCC it says but i dont see the decoder in the brake down.

I've got some athearn flywheels from bad motors, even a set of atlas ones, if you need them to "hook it up". You'll prob have to make adjustments though. lol
