Decoder comment?

I recieved an Intermountain (newer release) F7......I need an eight pin decoder.....I have narrowed it down to:
NCE: D14SR or KRS-SR
TCS: MC2

looking for at least 4 function outputs.
Any comments?
Thanks, Tom

I can get them at a LHS discounted of course

I don't know much about tcs decoders but I would also check an see if digitrax has one for it . I wouldn't use a nce decoder because it you have a problem with it they don't stand behind there warranty I sent a D13SR back a month ago an haven't heard a word from them as of yet and this is not the first time this as happen. They've also shut down there customer service on there web sight.

decoder issue

thogan 3 did you ever get the decoder in to your engine I wanted to let you know nce.fondly sent me back my decoder it took them a month to do so. I don't like talking bad about a company but i think a month is a little to long for repairs I us a lot of digitrax decoders an only have had problems with two.And when I sent them back they replaced them within two weeks that's counting mailing time .

I dont know about NCE. But i do know i have a bunch of Digitrax decoders in some of my loco and they have been good ones. I am sure NEC makes a decoder for that loco with the 8 pin hook up. I would think all the dcc makers would have one. and the Four functions should not be any trouble to find.
