Question BN sd 9

Does anyone know when burlington northern quit useing sd9s. I looked on someone photo album and it showed that they were still in use in 1985 my layout is of today and back I haven't desided how far back maybe back to 1988. [I did this because I'm always confused.]

This doesn't answer the question specifically, but it does say what happened to each of the SD9s that BN had and when they were retired. Scroll down to SD9 and click on the link.

BN stopped when they merged with Santa Fe. BNSF, sold the last SD9's off at the end of 2006.
