This ongoing project (about 15 years sofar) is all about the Bachmann B23-7 I needed the handrails for. These pics will show the current state of affairs.
First up is a frontal shot. The high short hood is from Smokey Valley.Hi-Tech Details currently has one too.I may switch out to that one because I have a new cab coming from Hi-Tech.
As you can tell from this picture the rear is quite plain.I have grab iron drilling templates coming from BLMA to help solve that little problem.
Can you tell that the origonal project was to build a NS B23? Further goodies include NS/Southern style sunshades and ditchlites at both ends.Oh yeah, since NS no longer rosters these litte beasts this one is headed for the MTSX leasing stables probly in a coat of blue.Oh yeah and some closer to scale couplers too.

Sure is a strange looking beast, is it an Alco or GE?

She be GE Andy. Actually the only Bachmann part left to this one is the shell. She's sitting in an Athearn U28B frame with a complete Athearn driveline that I hardwired last Saturday.I was quite surprized at how well she ran after sitting so long.

Got my parts tonight for this little project. After I got home I realized I never ordered a window set for it.
I will probly still get started this weekend, but not get a whole of reconstruction done.I need to see how well the Hi-Tech cab works with the Smokey Valley hi hood kit.I may end up changing that out too.
I also need to figure out what I'm going to do about headlights and ditchlites (both ends)

Hope you feeling better Catt!! I know how you feel, I had pnumonia a few years ago and spent almost two months in the hospital, didn't think I was coming out walking!
