Ordered My First

I've been drooling over the Blueline SD40-2's for quite awhile, and finally put my order in today (BNSF). It was pretty hard to pass up the great price on "Factory Direct Trains". This will be my first Blueline and from everything I've seen online, it should be a great addition to my layout. Now I just can't wait for it to get here!

Congrats on the BLI -2! I've only seen them in the box. Not bad, and not a bad price for brass. Make sure you post photos of your new unit and layout!

No kidding? Overland is making plastic? I'll be... Thanks for the info!
I never would have thought OMI would have entered the plastic market. Yet another change from 20 years ago...

That is right, the Blueline is made by Broadway Limited. I've heard some people say the prime mover sounds are not Prototypical, but the price was right for me. I thought they looked pretty good and had a lot of features for $117.00. I ordered the NCE decoder with it, so it should be good to go when it arrives.

You will like the Blueline. Lots of detail and the sounds and lights work exactly as they advertise. I have the AC6000 that George was talking about.

Here is a pic of it.

Here is a youtube video of it.

MudbugnTX, that is a awesome locomotive!

GN.2-6-8-0, very cool video! I have a soft spot for steam, but unfortunately my wallet will not allow me to satisfy my soft spot. LOL Hopefully one of these days I'll be able to afford a BLI steam locomotive, until then I can only window shop.

Thanks Mike. Really I did not do anything. I bought the train straight from George and it just works as it should. They look and sound great in my opinion. Glad you ordered yours.
