These are pictures that I have from my layout that I have been working on .
I have sent previous pictures to show my progress and always appreciate the positive feedback .
It is modeled after the St. Louis to Kansas City subdivision of the Rock Island.
The time era is from 1975-1985 despite the fact that the Rock didn't run revenue trains after 1977.
Thank you for taking the time to see the progress that I have been making.
Please give me your feedback.
It is slow and ongoing. Do these ever really get finished ??
Hi Calvin and Christine:It looks like you've made a lot of progress on your layout. Ballasting, ground cover and weathering looks great! And, yes, you will reach the 99% finished, if you keep at it and work in manageable chunks. It took me about 4 yrs. to get my layout to mostly finished, but the time went by really fast. DJ.
Hey Calvin & Christine. Your doing a great job. I also like the green boxcar & the weathering. The way you rolled the scenery down to the fascia looks really nice. Those are good places for a small creek. No, most never get done. Keep us posted.

Hey!! The Railroad LOOKS GREAT!! Lots of busy beavers working on that puppy!
Commentary...
Scenery- Deluxe!
Weathering- Deluxe! The Rock's locos were getting long in the tooth by the time they bailed out, so those shiny engines might want to get a treatment it's eastern PC brother got...
I REALLY LIKE THAT FLATCAR COMBINE LOAD!!
And I will do something different with my next layout that I didn't do with this one...put in a backdrop. Your pictures are great. Want to make them TERRIFIC?? Put in some background scenery, even if it's the Walthers stuff. You'll see the WOW factor kick in! Check out some of the layouts on the site for some ideas!
Finished?? A model railroad?? Well, if you get to where you think it's done, then it is...But what's the fun in having something like that??
Thanks for sharing!!
