The HO and N Scale sections have a thread for Locos and Freight Cars of the week, so I figured the G Scale guys and gals should have one too. So in this thread, Post a Engine or Car each week. I don't have enough to do seperate threads, so I figured I would combine them.
Below are 2 Aristocraft FA-1s with sound in New York Central livery. The caboose is a Bachmann, and the bridge is a 4 foot display trestle from Bridge-Masters.
This section doesn't seem to see much action, though I know some one that will probably be posting here in the near future. Well, here I go. My first entry. It started off as a Bachmann SF bobber caboose, the floor of an AristoCraft box car, seats from a generic sierra coach, & some odds & ends from here & there. Now it's a site seeing car. It still needs some details & lettering. My G gauge layout (which is on hold indefinitely) was going to be a modern line with a scenic RR called the Little Tusee Scenic RR. Hope it's ok for my first entry.

Yep' the G scale section's kind of quite.
Even though I'm mainly a H.O'er I do enjoy dabbling in G.
Here's a Bachmann 10 wheeler I modified after reading a piece in Garden Railways magazine.
I shortened the smokebox 3/4" adding new rivet detail also shortened the lead truck by 3/4'' and the tender by 1 1/2'' plus I added quite a few castings from Ozark Miniatures and metal wheels on the tender.
Future plans call for a completely new Barrys Big Trains mechanisim.

Even though I got these quite a while ago, they are my latest acquisitions in G scale. I'm hoping to set up something simple in the back yard this winter now that the weather has cooled off a little (sub 100's)!

Sub 100s are very nice, try liveing in Florida with where temps get into the high 90s low 100s all summer with about a 60-90% humidity. Now for this winter tonights supposed to drop into the teens. (I HATE FLORIDA WEATHER!)
