Question on N scale DCC programing?

Since it took them so long to come out with a chip for N scale is there any differance between programing a N scale DCC and a HO DCC? I can't find any information on it anywhere. The 2 engines I have are DCC equiped so they don't say. N scale DCC didn't exist when my controler was made so it doesn't say. I can't find a website anywhere that does say.

I would think you would program it the same way as a HO decoder.

N-Scale DCC

I'm not sure who you mean by 'they' who have only just come out with N-Scale decoders.

I have installed Digitrax and Lenz decoders in N-Scale (And Z-Scale) locos for quite a few years now.

Both of these manufacturers have been marketing N & Z-specific decoders for quite a few years.

Loksound produce their Micro sound decoder which will fit in many N-Scale locos.

Programming decoders in N is just the same as in any other scale.

OK Thank You

OK Thank You very much. I asked only becauce I wanted to be sure. When I first started DCC there was only two types of engines that could take DCC In N scale. I guess it was longer than what it seemed.

N scale locos are starting to enjoy the same DCC and Sound benefits as in HO. The new Athearns with DCC & Soundtraxx Sound are great! As will locos in both N and HO some my require a programming track booster to program properly.
