Exclamation Rail Congestion in the future

Interesting article on something we just don't tend to think about much... rail conjestion. By 2035, we could have some problems.

It's not hard to get there

I think they're for real with this deal. If anyone remembers a couple mergers involving the Ugly Pacific, first with the CNW, then the major catastrophe with the SP, the rail lines were so screwed up GM was waiting for vehicles for up to three months. Throw a wreck, or one of those monster Midwest floods into the mix, and it goes off the scale. I think it'll happen sooner than 2035.
If it does, as they say on one of those Space Shows, "Brace For Impact"!
