Post Build Thread Contest!! Jan 1st 2007 to March 31st 2007

Congratulations Seabord & Trainnut!
Each won a $75 Gift Certificate
to

This contest will be a "Build Thread" contest. We want to see your progress on something you are building. This could be the layout itself, a building for the layout, a piece of rolling stock, etc. Post a description and pictures as you go!

There will be TWO prizes. One for HO Scale and one for N Scale! Check out the selection at http://www.scenicexpress.com I am paying for these out of my own pocket if you are wondering.
Here are the rules:

1. The contest will run from January 1st 2007 at 12:00am EST to March 31st s007 at 11:59:59pm EST

2.. The entrant must start a thread for whatever they are building.

3. The thread must show progress. It does not have to span 3 months (you might be a fast builder), but it should be easy to see that the person is moving forward with their project. For example, if it is a layout, we should see benchwork being built, track being laid, etc. If it is a kit, there should be photos of the building of the kit along the way, etc.

4. The Moderators (ak-milw and Trainman1965) and I are NOT eligible.

5. The entrant must be the one who has done the work.

6. You may post your thread in whichever forum (HO Scale, N Scale, and The Craftsman’s Bench). Just make sure everyone knows what scale you are modeling.

7. If you already started a thread documenting something you are building, you can continue documenting the progress on that thread, as long as it is not already finished.

8, Rules are subject to change as clarifications are made.

We are not looking for master craftsmanship here. We are looking for detail build threads that everyone can learn and share their experiences in.

Most importantly, as with all of our contests, have fun!

So for instance, I have already started reporting "Progress of the D.R. Deep creek." As long as I continue documenting my work, that will automatically be entered into the contest? Or, do I need to notify you that I wish to have that thread entered into the contest?

As long as you continue on that thread, it is eligible, since the layout hasn't been completed yet. No need to tell me about it as long as you post some progress between Jan 1 and March 31.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish I could have posted more progress in the time allotted but life as a full time dad of an almost five year old and an almost 2 year old have kept me a little busier lately than usual. Please expect an update soon!

Cool, I'm glad they arrived. TrainNut's should be there in the next day or so. He's a little further away.
