I don't model Amtrak as such, but I do have some Amtrak equipment.

I have three Amtrak locomotives:-
(1) Athearn GEC Genises AMD 103 P42 diesel electric - Amtrak interciy

(2) Athearn EMD F59PHI diesel electric - Amtrak Northwest - commuter service

(3) Bachmann EMD F40PH-2 diesel electric - Intercity & commuter service - to be replaced with a Kato unit

My passenger cars are as follows:-

Intercity cars,
1 x Walthers Material handling car
! x Concor Superliner lounge car
1 x Concor Superliner dining car
1 x Concor Superliner sleeping car
2 x Concor Superliner coach cars

Commuter cars,
1 x Walthers Pullman Standard Bilevel Cab Control car

2 x Walthers Pullman Standard Bilevel coach cars

I also have a West Coast Express commuter train, consisting of:-

1 x Athearn EMD F59PHI diesel electric

1 x Athearn Bombadier Bilevel Cab Control car

2 x Athearn Bombadier Bilevel coach cars

Cheers, Simon

Ditto for me. I like the F40-PH's. I've got two of those (ones a dummy) two baggage cars and eight of the passenger cars. I think they are phase two but I can't recall.

I'm considering having an Amtrak-Only cross-in to allow Amtrak commuter trains to run through my layout. I'll have to get some F40PH's though.

Cool

I don't specifically model AMTRAK though I do have enough locos and cars to model two train sets, one with bi-levels and the other with Amtubes.

With thanks to the Mainiac I am working on a cabbage to go on one of the trainsets.

My layout is definitely transition era with a ponderous amount of steam locomotion present but, having had the opportunity to ride the Downeaster that runs between Boston and Portland and a desire to model a complete train, I gathered up four Amtubes, a P-42, and kitbashed a cabbage so that I could have the train. But, that is the extent of my involvement with Amtrak. Here it is with three Amtubes before I picked up the fourth.

I have a nearly pure Amtrak electric fleet, with only one Amtrak diesel, a P42DC in the "Northeast Corridor" scheme.

I have a complete Acela set (all cars)

-5 AEM7s, 2 Phase III, 1 Phase IV, 2 Phase V
-one HHP-8, looking for more at a deal
-2 E60MA kitbashes (one is in progress)
-1 E60CP (new bachmann)
-1 E60CH (American GK, might grab another if i see one)

I hope to get my hands on some Amtrak GG1s.

908 and 911 at the club.

my E60MA 610. this was the last unit to pull the broadway limited

my one amtrak diesel. I applied the Details West superdetail kit to this one

also plan to rehab some old Bachmann Metroliner MUs, and maybe even rebuild them into "capitol liners", with the roof humps, and of course, deck them out with detail so that people can't recognize them as bachmann. there will definitely be re-paintings. My E44A 4457 was under testing (brass is a pain with DCC) along with these units. The catenary is a mock-up, right now, a more realistic structure sits where the camera is.
